“We have to make some tough decisions about: pay, staffing levels, going to war, raising interest rates, increasing charges...” Phrases regularly trotted out by politicians, CEOs, bankers - and their ‘tough decisions’ are usually only ‘tough’ for those folk on the receiving end of them!
